I’m the Co-Founder of Boats & Mo’s and a proud supporter of the Movember Foundation and all the work they do. Over the past three years I’ve been spreading awareness and raising funds, and with the help of generous friends, family and the wider community managed to raise over $22,300 to support men’s health, earning the Gold Hall of Fame Award from Movember.

Movember came into my life at a time when I didn’t even realize how bad I was struggling, I was numb and in a dark place. Instead of seeking help or talking, I bottled everything up and put a brave face on. By randomly signing up to Movember with some workmates, it opened my eyes and gave me access to tools and support I didn’t know I needed- and that’s why I’m so passionate about raising awareness and funds.

This isn’t just a cause to me - It’s personal

It all begins with an idea.

Sophia is the heart behind Boats & Mo’s - it was her idea to take Daragh’s connections in the marine industry and turn them into something that could make a real impact. With no formal background in marketing, she taught herself everything she needed to run our social media, build a following, and bring the event to life, selling out all tickets to last years event within 2 weeks! she’s back onboard again this year to take the reins and build our brand even more - all while raising our two beautiful kids.

Her vision and dedication have helped turn a simple idea into a sellout event that’s raised thousands for men’s health.
